Hi! I'm Sue, and I started making bears 11 months ago. My bearmaking is growing, so this site will be under fairly constant revision- please feel free to drop by, and if you would like to drop me an email and say hello, that would be great! I will be doing a lot of my bear adoption by order-there will be samples of the bear put up, and colours and colour combinations can be negotiated and a bear bearthed to your specifications. Kits for most bears are also available.
This is a photo of me about to go upstairs to my first bear show. I have the walker because I have fibromyalgia, and I can't walk for long, or stand still without either falling over or my legs giving way. The walker is called Harriet, and my new wheelchair, which I use when I go places that are wheelchair accessible, is called Argo, after Xena's horse. My chair might not be as intelligent as Xena's horse, but it gets me places I would not be able to spend time at (like craft shops and bear shows), so I have the freedom to stay as long as I like. At home, I use it for the computer, and I have even stopped burning the sausages now that I can sit and watch them!

These are some of the first bears I even made. The trio in the background in gold fur were sent to Glebe Police station to be passed on to the Forsyth boys and their Mum, after their Dad was killed (a policeman at Glebe Station). It was this idea that gave birth to my biggest dream - trying to get teddy bears into the arms of as many kids in crisis as possible. That is what Bears who Care Inc. is all about, and I am national co-ordinator of the group I started.
